Happy Birthday Mum & Thanks Dad

On Thursday it was my Mum's birthday so I came up with this card for her. I used two stamp sets: Birthday Best and the new Short and Sweet - it is so cute. I was very happy as I got to use my glitter for the first time and boy does it help to make the card sparkle.

I made this card for my Dad as he spent an entire day with Neil and myself scraping old glue off the walls in our ensuite reading for tiling. He was a great help and we couldn't have got the whole room done without him. Again, I used the stamp set Short and Sweet.

My card making was quite successful on Friday night when I gave both Mum and Dad their cards that they have asked me to make a card for their next door neighbour's daughter who is turning 13 this Friday. Watch this space as I will be making this card in the next few days...

Swap Cards

Today 3 Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators spent the morning over cakes and pastries along with lots of stamps, ink pads and tools to come up with a swap for this years Convention. Although I am not able to go, my lovely upline kindly offered to take my swaps for me and swap them around. This is what I came up with.

I used Yo Yo Yellow and Orchid Opulence ink pads and cardstock, my 1 3/8" circle punch, some 1/4" whisper white grosgrain ribbon dyed in Orchid Opulence re-inker and the stamp sets I used where Scribble This and Happy Everything. Oh, and I also used Confetti White cardstock to stamp on!

Take a look at another OSW...

I actually started making these cards about a week ago using the Friendship Blooms which unfortunately is not available in the new catalogue. I am a big bold brights fan so I used my bold brights colours to make these 10 wonderful cards out of a 'One Sheet Wonder' template that I found - with a bit of a twist from myself! I still need to add the finishing touches to the cards but I thought I would take a photo of what I have done so far - they are a work in progress!
